About
White Sands Woodworks is a family operated business and a blending of two cultures, German and American.
White Sands Woodworks traces its origins to a young boy growing up in Germany, Karl Peter, who shared his formative years restoring antique furniture alongside his father.
These early experiences ignited a profound appreciation for the craftsmanship of a bygone era and inspired Karl on a lifelong journey into the world of fine woodworking and blacksmithing.
Karl’s Woodworking Journey
Over the years, Karl honed his skills, preserving the timeless beauty of antiques and creating unique pieces of his own. This dedication to excellence and the pursuit of fine craftsmanship became the foundation upon which White Sands Woodworks was built.
In 2014, after nearly three decades of dedicated service with the German Air Force, Karl retired and embarked on a new chapter in southern New Mexico, near the German Flight Training School at Holloman Air Force Base. Here, against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring White Sands National Park, he established White Sands Woodworks.
Since its inception, White Sands Woodworks has specialized in crafting custom pieces, meticulously tailored for military, business, and personal settings. The brand is committed to carrying forward the tradition of quality, artistry, and dedication that has defined it since its establishment in 2014.
